Kathy Campbell
"I’ve always loved creating – drawing, painting, interiors, medical illustration, product design – no matter the medium, my passion is to interpret what I see and feel. We all have our own way of viewing and understanding the world around us and communicating these discoveries." Being a lover of nature and everything it has to offer the mind, body and soul – Kathy's art encompasses this influence. Majoring in Fine Art and Biology, Kathy brings to her work a unique perspective, combining her knowledge of science with the wonder of creating. Kathy works out of her home studio in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, referring to her collection of photos taken over the years as inspiration.

Kathy produces paintings with watercolor, pastels and graphite in a colorful and bold manner. By working loosely, she captures the essence of the image, as watercolor has been considered truest to nature. She may apply strokes of pastels and penciling for added details, while maintaining the spontaneity and flow found in nature.
Inspiration
Simply put... Nature. Many of Kathy’s favorite moments are experienced in the out-of-doors, when exploring the beauty we find around us every day. The design and patterns of all living things captures her attention when witnessing the richness and diversity of our world. She strives to express this in her own personal way when creating her art.
